Have you ever wondered whether your pet had the makings of a sports icon? Now East Hills residents can find out for certain! On May 7th, 2011 at 10:00am, a new "Agility Day" for dogs will be held at the Park at East Hills. Ellen Podolnick, chair of the Agility Committee, said the sports events will include: tunnels, tire jump, low and wide dog walk and more. The Agility Committee is also comprised of Leslie Spelke, Debbie Bass, Jackie Mansbach, and Randi Kaplan. The function, which is another first for the Village was endorsed by the Mayor and the Board. It will be run by an experienced dog trainer. Enrollment per each East Hills athletic dog is $15. Pre-registration is required and the form can be found at the bottom of this posting.. All residents who are interested can fill out the form and bring it, or send it, to the park office. RSVP are required. A 4-6 foot leash and a flat-buckled collar are required.
