BARK PARK AT EAST HILLS POPULARITY CAPTURED

The "Bark Park" at the Park at East Hills recently became the focus of a Newsday.com feature. With only a few hours notice, an alert went out to all dog lovers to bring their pets to the park. Mayor Koblenz said the "response was overwhelming. Almost immediately the most socialized, gentle and nicest dogs arrived at the park and were filmed. I express a big, genuine thank you to all our residents who attended, and who once again made East Hills proud." A special option, called "Playdates" allows East Hills residents the opportunity to go online and see which dogs are at the park. In this way, dog owners can determine when they want to use the dog park. Over the last five years the facility has become so popular, and the common interests are so great, that recently members the East Hills dog owner contingent - or new found fraternity - went out to dinner together. The Bark Park is now considered one of the top attractions at the park, "fur" sure.
