Thanks to Trustee Clara Pomerantz, East Hills celebrated its third annual Environmental Day over Labor Day weekend. The event is designed to encourage and educate residents on how they can become more environmentally responsible. The participating companies included: You Save Green with Dave Magid, Mercury Solar, Bonavitacola Organic Gardening, Rallye/Lexus, Mercedes, East hills resident Dr. Marla Friedman (certified Nutritionist/Psychologist), East Hills Resident Jill Wasser of NYS Public Service Commission, and the Roslyn Water District. A gift basket donation was made thanks to Whole foods and was raffled off as a present.
