Through the creativity and concerted efforts of the Kids in the Park Committee, led by Stacey Siegel, Chair, and Alethea Shapiro, Vice Chair, another first-of-its-kind event was held in East Hills. The day of great shopping at the Village was held on November 9th at Village Hall. The special program even included a book signing by author and resident Bonnie Tratchenberg who recently released the novel "Wedlocked." The vendors filled the courtroom, conference room & theatre at Village Hall. The response was overwhelming appreciation to the committee members who made the event possible, once again through their hard work. "The efforts of the Kids in the Park Committee are an example for every community to follow," stated Mayor Michael R. Koblenz. "One after another we are treated to the finest events that are exciting, new and fun-filled for East Hills residents and guests," the Mayor added. The wide range of vendors included:
